Building #ABetterBrussels

Building #ABetterBrussels has been a profoundly personal and challenging journey. Each step forward often felt like revisiting my own past traumas, serving as a stark reminder of the struggles many in Brussels continue to face. Witnessing the sheer number of Brussels folks grappling with similar issues has been heart-wrenching, underscoring that this is not merely an isolated problem but a widespread epidemic lacking systematic conversation and support.

Amid these challenges, however, there has been a glimmer of hope. It's been truly inspiring to see initiatives like The Good Enough Company and Harassment Support Network (HSN) emerge, all united by a shared mission to tackle workplace toxicity and provide the needed support. This growing movement reassures us that change is not just possible but already underway.

More than anything, #ABetterBrussels (and others in this space) is about each of you. It's our way of saying, "We hear you." We recognise the courage it takes to speak up and the immense relief that comes when someone listens. That's why we've made it a point to share resources—names of coaches, psychologists, and legal firms that have assisted us. Why keep these valuable resources to ourselves, am I right? You'll find all this and more in the Resource Hub.

To those enduring in silence, and to the leaders seeking redemption and improvement, #ABetterBrussels is your platform. Your strength, your voice, and your healing inspire everything we do.

We’re always looking to broaden our network of change-makers. If you know any coaches, psychologists, or leaders who exemplify positive leadership, please recommend them by simply DM-ing me here or on the site or via betterbrussels@gmail.com. We would love to invite them to speak at our events. Follow me for updates and join us for the official launch at the end of September. Date to be confirmed soon.

Thank you, Eddy Wax for soft launching #ABetterBrussels in Playbook today.

We can do this, let's go!
